My thoughts on Fenty Diamond Bomb

Posts Cover (1).jpg

Hii my beauties 💋  !!

By now, we all know about Fenty Beauty and how this brand changed the game of the beauty industy with its unique products and infamous shade range.

This specific highlighter was, and still is, loved by a lott of people, because it’s said to be in a universally flattering shade.

I got this baby on the beginning of this year, and since then, I’ve got quite a lot of use out of it and was able to gather my thoughts on how I feel about this highlighter, which I’ll be sharing on this post..

  • Brand: Fenty Beauty
  • Reference: Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil
  • Content: 28 oz/ 8 g
  • Finish: Shimmery
  • Shade: How Many Carats?!
  • Shade description: Pure platinum sparkle
  • Packaging: It comes in an unit carton, but the compact is made of plastic/acryl and had a mirror in it.

I got mine from Dubai’s Sephora, but you can get it in any Sephora (that has Fenty Beauty, and most of all do), and in the UK you can get it in Harvey Nichols and Boots for ₤30. In the US it goes for $38, a bit too expensive for my taste.

Diamond Bomb features a unique jelly-powder formula that’s bouncy, cool to the touch, and melts into skin like butter. This highlighter is loaded with 100-percent pure brilliance to create an all-glitz-no-grit finish that easily decks out every skin tone. Plus, all of this glittery goodness comes in a faceted, jewel-like compact you’ll never want to put down.

  • Suitable for any skin tone;
  • Cluelty-free;
  • Unique jelly formula;
  • Applies beautifully to the skin;
  • Long-lasting;
  • Can be used for face and body;
  • Gives a wet look;
  • The packaging is unique and beautiful.

  • If you don’t like glittery highlighters, you won’t like this one;
  • Expensive;
  • Glitter can fall on other parts of your face.

I don’t know if it’s a PRO or a CON, but this highlighter looks best when applied with fingers.

I kind of have mixed feelings on this highlighter, I do like it, but I prefer using it on top of another highlighter, because it’s glittery and not glowy, if you know what I mean.

There is another product on the market that is similar but not so similar to this one, which is Urban Decay’s Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder for Face and Body, which has a similar concept, but instead of it being in a jelly formula, that helps bind the glitter particles, it is in a baked formula, that is way messier. This product wasn’t well received for being too glittery and messy, so when Fenty’s highlighter was announced, I thought people would feel the same way, which they didn’t, I don’t know if it’s because of its jelly formula or because it is Fenty’s product, I guess we’ll never know.

But as of my thoughts on it, I do like this, but only for special occasions, on top of another highlighter or for when I do want to look extra sparkly.

RATING: 3,5/5
