Time for the second part to this series, the EYES EDITION.
This small part of the face requires lots of products as well, you don’t need to use all of these products, of course, but I will recommend one of each category just in case you would like to know or even try them out.
Let’s get to it!
EYEBROWS are the thing right now. If you are lucky enough to have perfectly shaped brows you can skip this step, but otherwise I feel like for everyday if you just fill in your brows and put on some lipstick it’s more than enough. What I look in eyebrow products are that they should not just be good, but easy to use as well. So, for an inexpensive option I recommend the Bh Cosmetics’ Flawless Brow Trio in combination with the Essence Make Me Brow, Eyebrow Mascara and for the higher end the products form the Benefit Brow Collection.
Applying EYESHADOW PRIMER is an important step, and it will help you with the longevity of the eyeshadow. If your eyelids are more on the normal to dry side you can get away with using a concealer as an eyeshadow primer. If not, you can use the Catrice Prime and Fine, Eyeshadow Base as a drugstore one or the MAC’s Paint Pot in Painterly/Soft Ochre for a higher end option.
Recommending EYESHADOW is a bit hard, because people look for different things in eyeshadow palettes. But I feel like everyone needs basic matte shadows and some shimmery ones. From the inexpensive/drugstore brands I recommend the Morphe Brushes 35N Eyeshadow Palette in combination with the Bh Cosmetics Foiled Eyes and for a higher end option the Tarte Tarteist Pro Eyeshadow Palette.
Applying EYELINER is a necessary step, may it be in liquid, gel or pencil form. For a drugstore option I really like the NYX’s ones, those are really good. I, myself, don’t have any higher end eyeliners, because I am pretty satisfied with the performance if the drugstore ones but I have heard good things about the Kat Von D liquid one and the Urban Decay’s pencil ones.
MASCARA is another essential. I feel like every girl needs a really good mascara, and nowadays you can find really good ones at the drugstore too. I really like the Maybelline Lash Sensational from the drugstore. I love the final effect it gives to my lashes. And for higher end I love the Benefit the Roller Lash Mascara.
Not everyone likes to apply FALSE EYELASHES, I mean, it’s not necessary, it’s just an extra step. I didn’t like it at first but since I started I cannot seem to not apply them anymore. My go to drugstore falsies brand is Eylure, they have inexpensive yet really good lashes. And for higher end I lovee the Huda Beauty Lashes, those are really good.
And that completes the Basic Makeup Kit Eyes edition. next edition will be lips.
