Step-by-Step | Correcting the Under Eye Circles

Hii my beauties !!!

So, I’ve got a lot of questions from you guys on how to properly correct the dark circles under eye area. It’s quite simple, it just takes one extra step from your normal make-up application routine but you do need to find your correct shade.

We all have those dark circles under the eyes, some of us are lucky by having a very subtle darkness under the eye area and some are ‘cursed’ and have dark panda eyes. But some of us are so blessed and don’t have anyyyyy darkness on the under eye area (you lucky people), but that is not my case, so I know few bits about correcting the under eye area.

First of all you need to know what shade will go with your skin tone, the one that will perfectly neutralize your under eyes. The shade for the corrector for the under eyes is ORANGE/CORAL. But if you skin tone is fair or if it is dark the shade of it will vary.

  • If you have a super fair to light medium skin tone you should go for correctors in light peach such as the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in the shade Peach.
  • If you have medium to tan skin tone you can go for a medium orange such as the one that is on the Catrice AllRound Concealer palette.
  • And if you have darker skin tone you can go for a dark orange/coral shade such as the La Girl Pro Concealer in the shade Orange.

Now that we got that out of the way I will explain to you guys how it’s done, step-by-step!

1st Step – Always wash your face before applying make-up! (Never forget this step, it’s very important for a flawless make-up application and also good for your skin)

2nd Step – Apply a fair amount of lotion to the face and let it sink in.

3rd Step – Apply primer all over your face, especially on the T zone area.

4th Step – Apply the corrector over the dark circles (but not too close to the lash line because it will be blended and will cover the lower lash line area too, otherwise it will clump up on the lower lash area and it will not look good).

5th Step – Blend the corrector, but do not move it from where you applied, dabbing motions will work best, I would recommend blending it with a beauty sponge.

6th Step – Continue with the normal make-up application process (Foundation, Concealer, …).

On this video I do the whole process of correcting the under eye circles, so you can check it out for a more visual explanation.
